THE MIGHTY AVENGER OF THE BIBLE.
"Samson went down to Timnah with his father and mother. When he came to the vineyards of Timnah, a young lion came roaring toward him. The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands." Judges 14:5-6 (NIV)

The Hulk of the Bible
Samson is one of the most fascinating and enigmatic figures in the Bible. Known for his superhuman strength and incredible feats, he is often compared to a biblical 'Hulk'. But beyond his physical strength, Samson's story offers us a valuable lesson about the power and role of the Holy Spirit in our lives, especially in leadership within the church.
The "Power" He Had
In the story of Samson, we see that his strength did not come from his own effort or abilities, but from the Holy Spirit. Each of his feats, from defeating a lion to tearing down the pillars of the temple of Dagon, was made possible by the Spirit of God coming upon him. This leads us to reflect on whether in today's context, the church and its leaders are truly depending on the Holy Spirit to fulfill their sacred task.
Our Focus Today
Today, it's easy to fall into the trap of relying on our own strength, resources, and knowledge to advance the mission of the church. However, the story of Samson reminds us that true power and guidance come from the Holy Spirit. Are we truly relying on the role of the Holy Spirit, or are we trying to do everything ourselves? This is a crucial question that every church leader must ask themselves.
The "Strength" That Accompanies Us
For church leaders today, it is vital to remember that success in ministry is not measured solely in terms of material resources or personal skills, but in our dependence on the Holy Spirit. Just as Samson was incredibly strong only when the Spirit of God was upon him, we too must seek that divine strength and guidance in every aspect of our ministry.
In conclusion, the story of Samson offers us a powerful lesson about the power of the Holy Spirit. Like the Hulk of the Bible, our true strength and ability to lead and serve come from trusting in the Spirit of God. Let us focus on seeking and depending on the Holy Spirit in all our actions and decisions.
