Sometimes Trash shines, But Only With Christ it's Real.

"What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ". Philip 3:8

The True Freedom: Everything Else is Garbage

There's a truth, harsh though it may be, that sets us free: when you have Christ, everything else is garbage. What the world values, what seems fundamental, what is supposed to define us... in reality, it's nothing but debris that crumbles upon contact with the eternity God offers.

What Stirs the Human Soul

What stirs your soul? Unrequited love that consumes you from within? Garbage! Because the eternal love of Christ is the only one that satisfies and brings peace. The teacher who elevated you to an extraordinary level? Garbage! True knowledge isn't found in what man teaches, but in the infinite wisdom of God, knowledge that transcends time.

The Void of Personal Achievements

Have you spent years waiting for a position, an opportunity, recognition? Garbage! Our purpose isn't found in earthly titles but in the service we give to God's kingdom. And if no one congratulated you on your birthday, if you felt unseen? Garbage! Every day is a gift from God. It's not the applause of men that defines your worth, but being a child of God.

The World in Crisis: All That is Garbage

Is the world full of political crises, uncertainties, and frightening news? Garbage! Human worries are fleeting. Our citizenship is not here; our hope is in the heavens. And if fear or threats have knocked on your door, don't worry: Garbage! Our true protection comes from God, not from any human or earthly force.

The Void of Entertainment and Temporary Pleasure

True, we're surrounded by offers of entertainment, consumption, and pleasure. But what is all that compared to eternity? Programs promoting emptiness, dishonor, diverting our gaze from the divine... Garbage! Those fleeting pleasures can't fill the void that only Christ can fill.

Even the Good is Garbage

What about the things we consider good? Could they also be garbage? The answer is yes. Though many things in this world seem valuable, they are like shadows compared to God's eternal glory. Everything temporal fades away. No matter how just, good, or great it might be: Garbage! Because in Christ, there is something far greater, something that doesn't perish or fade.

Injustice, Suffering, and the Eternal Peace of Christ

And the world's injustices, the suffering? Also, Garbage! Because in Christ, there is perfect justice, and peace that surpasses all understanding. Life's tragedies, losses that tear us apart, all of that is momentary. In Christ, pain has an eternal purpose that transcends us.

Fame and Wealth: Garbage

What value does fame, wealth, personal achievements have? Garbage! All that fades like the wind, holds no value against the riches of God's grace and love. Everything we've achieved here will be like dust, but what we do for Christ, that will remain. Only what we do for Him has eternal value.

Material Possessions: Garbage and Debris

God's word reminds us of a truth we've all forgotten at some point: "The elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up" (2 Peter 3:10). Those who have lost everything in natural disasters know this well. What we believe to be permanent turns into rubble. It's all garbage! Everything we've accumulated, worshipped, thought was most important, one day will be reduced to nothing.

Paul's Revelation

Paul, the great apostle, understood this clearly when he said: "Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ" (Philippians 3:8). He had everything and lost everything, but he realized that the only thing that truly matters is knowing Christ.

The True Wealth

So, amidst all that occupies our minds, amidst all the worries and achievements we seek, let's remember that it's all garbage. Nothing is worth more than Christ, the only wealth that can't be stolen, the only jewel that doesn't corrupt, the only love that never abandons.

Everything else, no matter how grand it may seem, is just temporary waste compared to the greatness of knowing the Savior.
