JESUS NEVER RAN FROM THE SKUNKS AND LEPERS:
I explore the healing touch of Jesus and his blessing on the most vulnerable. Jesus broke the social protocols of the time. The leaders of that time said: do not associate with him, he has a "very, very delicate problem." Jesus not only disobeyed, but he touched and healed these poor people.

From Touch to Touch...
Recently, a video of the Dalai Lama touching and kissing a child has generated controversy and debate on social media. Unlike the healing touch of Jesus, this event has been interpreted by many as inappropriate and has drawn criticism, and while some defend the Dalai Lama as a loving and affectionate figure, I will focus on my Jesus in this short post and in the topic that I invite you to download at the end.
In the time of Jesus, social and religious norms were very strict. The leaders of that time dictated with whom one could interact, especially if the other person had some kind of 'very, very delicate problem'. However, Jesus not only disobeyed these norms, but also touched and healed those who needed it most.
Social Protocols!
Jesus was a true revolutionary. While religious leaders said 'do not associate with him', Jesus approached the marginalized and vulnerable. People with contagious diseases, considered unclean, were avoided by all. But Jesus broke social protocols, touching and healing these people, thus showing that his love and compassion knew no bounds.
Jesus' blessing on the most vulnerable had not only a physical impact, but also an emotional and spiritual one. By touching and healing these people, he restored their dignity and hope. It allowed them to reintegrate into society and feel valued again. Jesus showed that every person, regardless of their condition, deserves love and respect.
Do you run away from skunks and lepers?
The healing touch of Jesus is an example for all of us. He teaches us to look beyond appearances and not judge others for whatever the situation. Instead of turning away from those who suffer, we must reach out and offer our help and compassion. Thus, like Jesus, we can break down barriers and make a difference in the lives of others, even if they tell you: "you cannot approach, you will become impure or you may even lose your job."
